PRESS RELEASE: KLEPTOspirosis

Celebrating its 15th year, Mediartrix, the university-wide multimedia organization of the University of Santo Tomas, presents “KLEPTOspirosis,” an original comedy musical as their minor production for the academic year 2011-2012.

Adding another notch to the organization’s broad list of productions, “KLEPTOspirosis” revolves around a barkada of five, whose friendship takes a sharp turn when something gets stolen, and they all become primary suspects.

The Mediartrix signature wacky cast of characters, together with their talented singers and dancers make for a fun experience fit for all ages. “KLEPTOspirosis” is set to be staged at the Albertus Magnus Auditorium of the University of Santo Tomas on September 15-17 2011.

KLEPTOspirosis is an original story written by Jose Nicolo San Diego.

This production is under the direction of Jay Michelle Pineda and Floran Lagao and managed by Rodrigo Villafuerte Jr. It will be staged on September 15, 16 and 17, 2011 at the Albertus Magnus Auditorium of the University of Santo Tomas with showtimes at 6-8pm for both the 15th and the 16th; 10am-12noon, 1-3pm, 4-6pm, and 7-9pm on the 17th.

AIESEC University of Santo Tomas, on its 4th year in the University, brings to you the Thomasian Global Village: Breaking Boundaries — an afternoon event filled with activities and cultural presentation that will satisfy the wanderlust in every Thomasian student.

 
With the ASEAN 2015 paving way for more opportunities for the Filipinos, the youth is becoming more enamored with the concept of Globalization and the interesting study of cultural complexities of other countries.

 
This August 1, AIESEC UST, in partnership with International Students Association (ISA), will bring the world to the Thomasians at the Quadricentennial Park wherein they can experience interacting with youth from other countries who are currently here in the Philippines for volunteer work for the projects of AIESEC UST and other universities.

 
Booths showcasing the best of European and Asian countries and cultural presentation, games and a fashion show will allow the Thomasians to know more about countries like Germany, Pakistan, Vietnam, Russia and Indonesia, among others.

 
Understanding and embracing cultural differences are the aims of this festive celebration of cultural diversity. “AIESECers” believe through this event, the Thomasian community may enjoy, learn, and appreciate the cultures of the world.
