What makes a person “ideal”?

“Aside from good physical appearance, I consider a person “ideal” if he/she has a strong conviction when it comes to his/her beliefs, more so if he/she has a noble heart. Intelligence is highly valued in our society, but intelligences that induce an individual materialistically make it less valuable than moral intelligence which encourages truth, love, faith, and justice.”

How do you practice faith as a Thomasian?

“Simply by praying and attending church mass every Sunday, because according to the passage in the bible, “…faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” In addition, faith manifests in me through the excellence I demonstrate in my academics. Faith helps me to trust God; not only to depend on my own knowledge, rather to acknowledge that all wisdom comes from Him because faith is the evidence of the things we hope for and the assurance of the things unseen.”

How can you promote peace in your community?

“I know I can promote peace by starting to foster inner peace within me, because I believe that peace doesn’t mean the absence of war; rather it’s a fervent inward security and safety in spite of the tragic and challenging circumstances that come across our lives, which only God can give. By building such peace, I have faith that it will lead me in imparting the same peace first to my family, then to the community resulting to harmony.

Why should the Thomasian community vote for you?

“They should vote for me because by God’s grace, I believe that I embody the characteristics that an “Ideal” Thomasian should possess. And that through their votes, I could broaden my sphere of influence and expand my network which could help me divulge my ideas as an Industrial Engineer that would result to a better and improved Thomasian community.”
