Tomasino Web (Tom Web!), the official online-based university wide organization of the University of Santo Tomas has successfully launched its advocacy campaign entitled: “TomaSino? Ikaw, Ako, Tayong Lahat!” that aims to empower the Thomasian pride and value towards its Quadricentennial celebration in 2011 last Sept. 18 at the Albertus Magnus Auditorium.

The captivating voices of AB Chorale started the event with a harmonious and solemn invocation followed by the energetic and synchronized performance of UST’s Pep Song Rallies by the UST Yellow Jackets giving a livelier ambiance to its audience.This was followed by the meaningful introductory remarks of Tom Web’s Vice President Internal Marikit Valmadrid as she warmly welcomes the Thomasian students for attending the said event. Tom Web! President Luke Oliver Menor also delivered a wonderful and intellectual speech as he promoted and explained the objectives of the project.

Awe-inspiring Audio Visual Presentations (AVPs) were also shown during the event as the Thomasian Achievers and Leaders answered the Basta Tomasino open-ended statement of why they are proud to be a Thomasian.

The highlights of the event include live band performances by Mithi, Kapitan, December Avenue and Generic, a fashion walk of several Thomasian Achievers and Leaders presenting the Basta Tomasino ballers with style and confidence and the much awaited appearance of the GMA Broadcast journalist, Cesar Apolinario inspired the Thomasian to further excel in their chosen field.

As years to come, Basta Tomasino, the open ended statement will be by several Thomasians and will soon surface and echo in the whole nation defining who we really are as a Thomasian and as a citizen of this nation.
