A little known gem in Antipolo is yet to become a hit.
SURELY, when going to different places, we like to feel we’re in a special place; somewhere new and delightful that can make us temporarily forget the busy life in the Metro or the weight of school works for a while. Well, it seems that Altaroca can provide us with that, and more.
Found in Antipolo, Rizal, Altaroca Mountain Resort and Convention Center is a fresh and ideal getaway for people who seek moments of leisure, amusement, and relaxation. With its Mediterranean inspired theme and peaceful environment situated on the hillside, Altaroca lives up to its very name, which means “high rock” or “high mountain” and definitely takes its guests to even higher grounds.
Established on October 8 of last year by the Guico family, this chill spot also boasts its facilities and amenities fit for family and group outings, company seminars, team building activities, parties, and other special events. Altaroca currently has 3 swimming pools, a ballroom, 2 function rooms, a game room, an open bar and videoke, huts, an open deck, Wi-Fi access, 24/7 security, and a mix of Mediterranean and Filipino cuisines for gastronomical delight.
Having been to Altaroca twice already, I personally admire its atmosphere. There’s always a feel of being transported in Santorini, Greece with its ascending topography and minimalist hues of white and light blues. An overnight stay can already guarantee a fulfilling and tranquil experience for the self.
At present, Altaroca finds its strength in hosting team building activities, seminars and other organizational events. Altaroca is frequently visited by organizations and are later referred to other groups, thus, expanding the resort’s market in this field. The resort is, on the whole, perfect for the aforementioned activities. It has this certain exclusivity, a basic P.A. system, a unique set-up for outdoor actions, and spacious meeting rooms. The ballroom can hold up to 250 persons and the function rooms can be a venue for smaller events with up to 70 people. But the resort and convention center still seeks to expand and cater to other events like birthdays, debuts, and weddings.
It is not a crowded place, too. Albeit considered by some guests as a place of “too many stairs,” Altaroca makes sure to accommodate them well.
A stay in this little known resort is currently done through reservations. But do not fret, the resort also accepts walk-ins for those who would like to experience what it’s like being on “high rock.”
For sure, this gem will still reach new horizons. With the ambience, accommodations, and services it offers, Altaroca can easily make its way to the “list of places to go to” of almost everyone. As it blooms into a scenic spot, it promises to give noteworthy moments of unwinding and celebration, and swears to be the “best out-of-town destination without sacrificing too much time and effort, as well as budget.”
