What makes a person “ideal”?
“My concept of being an ideal person is the ability to practice balance in family, faith, and to make the best use of one’s uniqueness or talents, while not forgetting one’s moral compass. I strongly believe that being “ideal” entails the practice of doing one’s best at all times. It is in his/her greatest efforts where lukewarm results are separated from the possibility of being able to stand as an ideal person.”
How do you practice faith as a Thomasian?
“I believe in honoring the values and virtues that my University continuously teaches me as a practice of faith. It is through walking by faith in both my God and the guidance of my school when it comes to honing all the talents and skills that I have been blessed with. It is also in augmenting Thomasian principles in my education, opportunities and future career while dedicating them to the Most High.”
How can you promote peace in your community?
“Promoting peace in my community goes beyond talking about the school’s three C’s (Compassion, Commitment and Competence). I believe it is important for one to practice inner stillness in order to be authentic in the advocacy for peace. Big things can come in small actions, which is why I intentionally remember to start with myself so that I can better reach out to those around me.”
Why should the Thomasian community vote for you?:
“I simply wish to share my wisdom and talents.
I have attended University in UST for the past four years. And in all those four years, I have been consistent in striving to immerse myself in the Thomasian culture – especially within the Architecture Department.
Through the years, I have learned many lessons. Many of which turned out to be the most trying and turbulent times of my life, but definitely the most rewarding and fruitful of lessons thus far.
I would like to think that with the support of the Thomasian community, I would have the opportunity to give this kind of chance to others who will or are going through tough times and in my own way, have a chance to give back my best to this deeply rooted and honorable University and all the lessons it has had to offer me.”
