What qualifies you to be the first Thomasian Youth Ambassador?
With the problems that our generation has been going through, I think that I can serve as an inspiration and a motivation for those young people who are afraid of trying new things or those who are tired of starting again that you don’t have to be someone just to show that you are capable of doing great things. I want to exemplify that what really make us stand out among the rest is a good attitude, positive outlook in life and most specially, determination and perseverance that no matter what happens; we can always be the best of what we can be.”
How do you value education?
“I do believe that education is a big investment; more specifically as a golden key. Putting in time and effort into your education can open many doors throughout your life, allowing you access to more opportunities than what you can expect. I know that there are more important qualities to value than intelligence but it is important to value education for what you can gain from it. At the end of the day, this investment will help us not only to succeed but also to help on building up a better nation.”
How can you share the light of education to the indigenous people?
“As a Thomasian business leader, I can help those who are uneducated by concentrating first on their strengths which I will use to continue on developing their talents and skills and later, to improve their weaknesses. As a good opportunity, I would join community development seminars and activities which main focus is on reaching them out. Participating in these kinds of activities is a two-way process: giving us a chance to know their culture and teaching them to become responsible law-abiding citizen of our country.”
Why should the Thomasian community vote for you?
“I’m very awkward person. I have a lot of imperfections and weaknesses but despite of having those things, I am still able to be the person that I wanted to be. I always try to make myself better so I can be a good person tomorrow. Challenges don’t stop me from achieving something in life because I always believe that as long as you are dedicated and hardworking, nothing is impossible.”
