What qualifies you to be the first Thomasian Youth Ambassador?
“What qualifies me to be the first Thomasian Youth Ambassador is that… I’m willing to support the good intention of this activity, by being able to encourage my fellow Thomasians to reach out to the financially incapable yet academically gifted persons and make them understand the true value of education. To help them build good foundation and add meaning to their lives, because a life without meaning, without drive, without focus, without goals or dreams, isn’t a life worth living.”
How do you value education?
“I value education by studying as hard as I can, to make every cent counts from the tuition fee paid by my parents. I make sure that once I get inside the classroom, I’ll exit with new knowledge gained, so that I can share this to other people so we can improve all together. Valuing education helps me increase self-respect, to be competent as I can be and to ensure a better future.”
How can you share the light of education to the indigenous people?
“Sharing education is passion-based. You’ve got to have pure heart in helping them. In order to share the light of education, I will give fair attention to everyone, share thoughts, knowledge and ideas and then, immerse to their culture and traditions by reaching out to them and make them feel that they belong to our society.”
Why should the Thomasian community vote for you?
“I can’t please everyone, but what I believe is that, I’ve always wanted to do something good for my fellow Thomasians and show them my sincerest loyalty to our dearest university. If they will give me this chance, I’ll grab this opportunity to unite all colleges and departments of the university as one, to be involved in advocating universal primary education thru beneficial projects that I will implement to our campus. And having said that, I will be truthful to those words and put it all in actions.”
